Who are we?

Diamond Life Insurance Company Limited is a licensed Bangladeshi life insurer that commenced operations in June 2014, founded on the belief that Bangladesh’s largely untapped insurance market deserved quality, accessible insurance for a wider section of society.
Recently, Diamond Life entered a new phase of growth when Softlogic Life Insurance PLC, a leading Sri Lankan life insurer with a strong leadership position in health insurance, acquired a 60% controlling stake for approximately USD 1.9 million. This marks Bangladesh’s first-ever life insurance acquisition and Softlogic Life’s first international expansion, positioning it among only three foreign life insurers operating in Bangladesh, alongside MetLife and LIC.
